Gregory M. Heritage served 21 years as a paratrooper and infantryman in the U.S. Army.  He advanced from the rank of Private First Class to Lieutenant Colonel.  He served in a series of important command and staff positions to include Rifleman in the 1st U.S. Army Airborne Ranger Battalion; Mechanized Infantry Platoon Leader in Germany; Airborne Infantry Platoon Leader in Italy; Company Commander and Operations Officer on the Korean DMZ; Battalion Executive Officer for a Task Force deployed to Cuba; Chief of Contingency Plans for the Combined Forces Command in Korea; 1st U.S. Corps Plans Officer; Ranger Regiment Plans Officer; and Doctrine Planner on the U.S. Joint Staff for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
